Sunmetry on your device

Windows may show a “Windows protected your PC” warning because the app has no paid certificate yet — this is expected and safe.

1. 1Download the Windows installer above and run it.
2. 2If you see “Windows protected your PC”, click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
3. 3Follow the installer — Sunmetry appears in the Start Menu.
4. 4Sign in with the same login and access rights as on the web.

iPhone installs Sunmetry straight from the browser — there is no file to download. Use Safari (Apple only allows install from Safari).

1. 1Open app.sunmetry.com in Safari.
2. 2Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up).
3. 3Choose “Add to Home Screen”.
4. 4Tap “Add” — the Sunmetry icon appears on your home screen.

The app is signed but without a paid Apple certificate, so the first launch needs one extra confirmation.

1. 1Download the .dmg for your chip (Apple silicon or Intel) above and open it.
2. 2Drag the Sunmetry icon onto the Applications folder.
3. 3Open Sunmetry. macOS says it cannot verify the developer — click “Done”.
4. 4Right after that open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom and click “Open Anyway” next to Sunmetry. The button lasts about an hour after the attempt; if it is not there, open Sunmetry once more and come back.
5. 5Confirm with your computer password or Touch ID, then click “Open” in the final dialog.
6. 6From then on it opens with a normal double-click.
7. 7If macOS says the app is damaged, do not move it to the Trash: that is the quarantine flag, the file is fine. Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities), paste xattr -cr /Applications/Sunmetry.app, press Enter and open Sunmetry again.

Android installs from the browser too — no file to download.

1. 1Open app.sunmetry.com in Chrome.
2. 2Open the ⋮ menu and choose “Install app”.
3. 3If you use Samsung Internet, first tap “Open in Chrome” — Chrome installs without a security warning.
